Making plans to go hiking with a friend this weekend and I mention the following:

ME: I also know where there's a big patch of miner's lettuce so we can get down on all fours and graze like herbivores too.
ME: Or I can do that and then you can chase me. Whichever.
FRIEND: Only way it could get better is if this is isolated enough I can wander around in the altogether.

Ahem, domesticated field animals graze, woodland herbivores browse.

And here I thought you'd simply be overcome with lust by the mental image.

I was able to type this out after the initial wave of lust passed, though it keeps coming back to me. The thought of a mouth full of miner's lettuce, though, does help me regain my composure :)

I like miner's lettuce. It's rather good.

Its never looked good to me, but looking on it's Wikipedia page they claim it tastes like spinach, which is certainly good enough.

Flavor is a bit more like lettuce. It's crisp but very light. Melts in your mouth. Really quite nice IMO.

Overcome?

Maybe not, but it's been a hard image to shake in many directions....

Semi-urban omnivores shoplift from convenience stores, or just gobble it down before reaching the cash register. :)

Ah, here we have the crafty Ashtoreth sneaking through the breakfast isle, I'm afraid that the peaceful herd of entenmanns doughnut variety packs don't stand a chance, Ashy is their natural enemy.
