Okay... It might have been my idea... And I may have bought the comics, supplied the beer, and the studio space but... I had my hand bandaged up at the time. I didn't draw much of this...

Anyhow... The idea was to re-badge 'good wholesome' Archie comics into Tank-Girl like comics. In the end, this ended up really just amounting to a bunch of poop jokes. So... In retrospect, we hit the mark. Anyhow. This is what happens when you turn 3 bored artists loose on 3 dollars worth of bad Archie comics. Fuck the comics code. :)

Archie is the epitomy of conservative crap. It's filled with misogyny and gender stereotypes, weak writing, and bad art. In the 1950's, real comics were banned in the US thanks to McCarthy and his band of neo-nazi crap peddlers. Archie still proudly bears the "Approved by the comic books code" label on the front page, though luckily for us, the 60's and 70's brought a backlash of underground comics which were made for an adult audience. Defacing this stuff was puerile and childish. We had a blast. :)

Heh. Ya. You did good, Booga. I think Jughead was what first inspired us on the Tank Girl thread. He's got that hat and stuff. He wants to be in a cool comic but is instead trapped in Archies. (Hmm. that might be a fun archie mutilation theme actually. Rework the comics so Jughead is some cool punk guy trapped in a world filled with white-bread)

And okay, ya. I like the Ninja one too. Niiinnnjaaa!
