I'm going to eat mushrooms I found growing in my yard that I identified on the internet. I have no prior experience identifying mushrooms. ^_^

If this is my last post, submit it to the Darwin Awards, please. :)

Well. I was neglecting to mention that what is in my yard is one of the absolute safest kinds of mushrooms to identify. It only has one or two 'look-alikes' and they don't look anything like it. They're also slimey and have a strong odor. Also, the similiar species will only make you sick to your stomach, not kill ya. :)

It matches every single marking and I checked like a dozen websites plus I've read about them extensively for several years. Morels and Chantrelles are the two types of wild mushrooms I've always thought I might eat if I found them growing wild. Of the two, morels are a little safer.

All of that aside, I still feel like I'm nuts but um. Too late to do anything about it now. :)

It wasn't bad. Very mild flavor but a good texture.
