Need to get outside. Should go hiking. Somewhere sunny and warm. Probably inland. I'd like to go to my secret beach but it's the wrong phase of the moon, only wishy-washy tides during the day. It'd be passable (assuming no storms at sea), but it wouldn't be the best shell-hunting. Redwoods might be fun but would probably be cold, damp, and dark this time of year. On the other hand, this is the best time to see newts, salamanders, bananaslugs, ferns, and fungii. Eastern hills sound good too. Somewhere with lots of rocky outcrops and some really long trails. Places without a lot of people. I'd like a long hike.
Pack lunches Saturday night, set out Sunday morning, hike all day. Who all would be interested in coming and... what terrain?

Date: 2005-02-03 06:45 pm (UTC)East Bay Hills are nice and green right now from all the rains, and they are generally sunny, if you want to do that. Personally, I'm open to pretty much any place, and think I'm good for a long hike.
