How to make a bad pilot.

Or more generally: How to make a bad project. It's interesting and worth reading despite the vulgarity of the wording. I can happily say I'm guilty of only two or three of these. Definetely the audio problems but with better hardware and classes, I'm working on that. Um. Also the 'taking a long time' (Free as a Bird) the attachment to projects (BEST PROJECT EVAH!), contempt for something else/the viewing audience (had a bout of that last night, which, thankfully, I didn't post about) etc.

Thankfully, I think I was aware of all of my shortcomings before reading this, but I think I'm gonna bookmark this article anyhow. It's short and succinct and a good reminder. :)

I already have her captive in my lair and at my mercy!

I'm afraid she's absolutely correct in that.

Rule the world? I don't want to rule the world. I just want a tenured position and full funding for all of my *ahem* research. Well, and perhaps a small stipend and a travel budget. That's all.

Rule the world. Good grief. Imagine how much hassle it would be to find a hire a gardener to keep it all nicely pruned.

I didn't say run the world, I said rule the world... meaning the world looks to me for its guidance! ME! Ah hah hah! The poor fools!

WHAT?!?? What cosmic scriptwriter allowed THIS to happen? Well OK, in that case, time to up the ante!

I never thought I'd actually have to say this, but...

Dr. Z, prepare... THE PROCTOLOPOD!!!

Oh my! *sqirm*

(badly lip-synched)
Oh no! He knows my secret!

Damn you Pinkerton! Procyon was a plant to discover my weaknesses! Now I shall end up a groupie

unless...

Yes... That's it!

I can capture the Proctopod and retune it to harness the power of Procyon's flatulence!

All is not yet lost!

Ha! Good luck figuring out the Proctolopod... as it's actually ALIEN TECHNOLOGY recovered from a crashed spaceship, I've never been able to ascertain (ass-certain?) exactly WHAT it's supposed to do. This however has never stopped Dr. Z from endorsing its use for all manner of ailments, including measles, whooping cough, the common cold, etc...

But I digress. Ahem, where was I.

(badly dubbed)
SO, you think YOU can harness the unpredictable power of pure pizza induced methane? Well then, prepare to meet my old friend... THE GUITAR FLAMETHROWER! (six strings, floating tremolo, humbucking pickup, 20' range, powered by Dr. A's 201 proof liquor)

Yes, it's true. What you thought was a meeting of the minds is more simply that I am a slut for anyone who looks good in a lab coat. You, Sammi, and let's not even talk about [livejournal.com profile] doctorwednesday. I'll be anyone's science slave.
