This isn't some whacko website or leftwing thing, check news. google.com. They really ARE pre-empting 2 hours of prime time network television to make a smear ad against Kerry.
Regardless of which side you're on, this is atrocious and manipulative of the american public and a total violation of the FCC guidelines. I'll remind you also that this is the same "LIBERAL MEDIA" that didn't air the show they'd made about Ronald Reagan because it didn't portray him as the Baby Jesus.

Date: 2004-10-12 07:59 pm (UTC)Conversely, it's sort of interesting that there's a sort of biopic/documentary film coming out about Kerry's Vietnam years in late October. It looks to lean to the positive end, for him... Unfortunately, I can't recall the name off the top of my head, but I saw the trailer ad when I went to see 'Control Room', which is a documentary about Al Jazeera and the US menipulation of media in Iraq.
It might just be that I'm more aware of it... but I think the Bush campaign in particular, and politics as a whole, has gotten a lot more media savvy and sneaky since the last election.
