pasitheaI've had a fun weekend. A cold and poison oak. Strenuous activities for the weekend have included finding a comfortable position to lay in and breathing. Beginning to feel better. Or at least I no longer feel both hypersensitive and like I've been beaten with a baseball bat.
I wasted most of my weekend playing a video game and reading "19 deadly sins of software development" ... I'm not sure which was the bigger waste of time.
Why, did you know that you shouldn't access past the end of arrays or allow unchecked string input from users? Also, if you use #pragma to disable type conversion warnings, you're asking for trouble. Golly!
Okay, there were one or two things in the book that were a nice review or interesting cases about styles of coding that I'd never use in the first place but most of it made me feel a deep sense of despair about the state of software development if there are enough people making those kinds of mistakes to warrant devoting entire chapters to them. At least the game was kinda fun.
Anyhow. I feel like a wastrel. I need to be doing more productive things with my time. Just ... too many hassles right now. Going crazy. Being sick was NOT what I needed. :/
