Poo, I sign up just to share my thoughts, and I'm not allowed to post replies in the thread.

Skimming through the posts though, this image seems to get ignored after a while: http://img696.yfrog.com/i/aciiclear.png/

Someone's missing a trick here. All the others are camera views or diagrams (love the exploded view of a turret). This one though is isometric, with a cut bottom and abstract background. It looks like an old isometric video game.
There's already the word that Cave Johnson is "alive" inside a computer. I'm wondering if his personal virtual world is 8-bit.

The speculation I saw is that that image is probably from the forthcoming teaser trailer for Portal 2 - the trailer for the original game was all abstract and isometric like that.
