You've probably seen by now that some nitwit flew a plan into the side of an IRS building. FOX has published his whole crazy rant.

http://www.foxnews.com/story/0,2933,586627,00.html

It seems like it's some kind of weird appeal to get the left to join the teabaggers, but I'd like to point out a few things before you start stocking up on tri-corner hats.

The little old lady who eats cat food.... Sounds pretty suspect. Sounds a lot like he's expecting us to eat some bullshit. It's not impossible but it seems sketchy.

That he had $40,000 in unpaid taxes before 1984 and he's "one of us" who are getting screwed by the system? My dad was barely making $40,000 per YEAR in 1984 and he was making pretty decent pay for the time. I know lots of people who don't make $40,000/year NOW. Oh, and by the way, he's SO poor he owns his own plane? CLEARLY this is a man DEEPLY OPPRESSED by the system.

Also, notice how he complains about taxes and then complains about closing obsolete airforce bases (part of Clinton's work to balance the budget and reduce taxes)

This guy yaps a lot about how he wants things good for everyone but he seems to really be whining ME ME ME ME ME! I'M MOMMY'S SPECIAL LITTLE MAN!

I get the feeling he's not the sort of person he claims to be in his farewell letter. He's just hoping that enough people are stupid enough to buy his story that he might be remembered as a great martyr or something.

Is the system broken? Yes.
Do I think violence will fix it? No. The powerful are rarely affected by violence. It's people like us that suffer. Maybe a few faces change but for the proles? Not so much.
Is his suicide attack REALLY about change or is it about a sad little man screaming "PAY ATTENTION TO ME!!!!!" because the later is how I read it.

Of course, the teabags will latch onto this and scream louder than ever that liberals are 'stupid', never realizing that they are the pawns being used to control the game. I'm beginning to think they LIKE the taste of bullshit.

I don't really see the reaching out to the left in this piece. It's mostly standard right-wing claptrap mixed with a desperate psychotic. He latches on to certain complaints that are more popular on the left, like bad health-care, but frankly I think the fiction that our healthcare system is the best in the world is a fiction that the right can hold onto in the face of liberal attempts at reform, because eventually they'll have to get a medical procedure done and their willfull illusion will be shattered. A man this separated from the world around him simply probably hasn't realized that it's in fashion for him to defend the medical status quo against the fiendish liberals. Everything he cites as wrong in the world is stated in reference to the evil totalitarian nature of the government and it's awful criminal thieving taxes. A distinctly right-flavored sentiment when the left is in power.

I think the tea-partiers will secretly revere this guy while their spokesmen will denounce and distance themselves on TV.

I dunno. He goes on about healthcare, 'bush and cronies', and cleverly asserts he is not a christian with his opening parable about how the tax man done him wrong and a bunch of other stuff. That's at least enough for the right-wing parrots to scream that he was an evil liberal terrorists and segue into a tirade about the evils of taxes which they'll assert are somehow entirely a left-wing creation.
