Meh.

Maybe watching Groundhog Day the day after returning from Burning Man was not my best plan ever. Why can't I ever get stuck in some kind of eternal loop where I have all the time in the world to study everything I want? :(

Yeah... I'll almost certainly live long enough to experience a reality where wetware implants can give me any knowledge and/or skills I desire, but really that's nothing like just learning all that stuff yourself. For me at least, there's a great joy in the act of learning things. What I don't know is almost always more interesting to me than what I do know.

But now I need to go to bed, I guess. This was the last day of my vacation and I have work tomorrow... Unless by some chance I wake up and it's Labor Day again.

One can dream, can't one?

Post-convention collapse. I'm sorry, and hope you feel better soon; among other things I really want to hear about BM from you.

What are you doing Saturday morning BTW? I was thinking about going to one of the nearby oak forests and hunting for Oyster mushrooms, then taking them home, battering and frying them and eating them until I burst. :)

That sounds really cool - I don't know half as much about oak forests as I probably should. I'd really love to be in on this, let me check with Es first though.
