Representative Dumbfuck, I simply don't believe that you're actually ignorant enough to have ANY idea about the connotations of that phrase. Even if you didn't know the specific reference, the 'white' part was a clue. Furthermore, you're from Kansas, a state virtually overflowing with racist retards, so I'm sure you've heard the phrase used by knuckledragging dimwits who were speaking disparagingly of blacks. You would elsewise probably never have heard the phrase at all. Look, I'm giving you the benefit of the doubt here. Would you rather acknowledge that you're a racist piece of crap who freely associates with other racist pieces of crap, or would you rather we think that you are so impossibly ignorant and have such poor judgement skills that you can't recognize obvious racist sentiments when you encounter them. If you truly are that impossibly stupid, why the Hell are you running anything other than a deep fryer at a local fast food restaurant?
I am sick to fucking death of all the racist garbage spewing out of the right wing. Do you have any idea how incredibly stupid you all sound? You shame our country and make us look like a nation of backwards hicks. Seriously do you think anyone buys all the phony apologies and the insistence of 'birthers' that they aren't racists? Do you honestly believe it yourself? No, don't bother lying. I'm not interested in hearing it. I'm consoled by the fact that you're so frantic because you know you're dying. The president is a black man who presents himself as easily more intelligent and competent than you and he's not afraid of you. Where Bush shriveled and ran from the slightest disgreement, Mr. Obama welcomes the challenge of talking with his opponents. Despite the threats of violence from right wing groups, he still has the courage to address crowds of the people, rather than turning away all but the staunchest supporters.
You're finished. Do you think your children will believe the stories you tell them of cowardly and stupid 'niggers' or will they look at the world around them and see scores of men and women of every color who are competent and intelligent and command great respect and authority from their peers?

Date: 2009-08-27 10:59 pm (UTC)Racism in America is far from over. Yet, America has elected a non-white leader. White privilege isn't over yet, but every day we're lowering that bar more and more.
And the far right knows it. Slowly, the reasonable ones are admitting that it's time for them to start listening to the voices of people who don't look or act just like them. Every day that someone sets a prejudice aside and learns more about regarding people in terms of their essential humanity and the stories and history that make them who they are, the right-wing starts to shrink. And the power-mongers are scrambling. And the more they scramble, the more laughable they make themselves. And it's up to us, all of us, to point out just how badly they are embarrassing themselves -- to make them into laughingstocks.
You know that saying of Gandhi's, "First they ignore you, then they ridicule you, then they fight you, then you win"? I think it goes backward too: in the 1960s and 1970s groups did fight each other, hard, and while there is still institutionalised racism that can turn violent in places (especially when law enforcement gets involved) it is slowly on the way out. We need to stay vigilant and keep forcing it out the door, and one of the ways we can do that is by making it embarrassing to be known of as racist. When we get to the point where we can safely ignore them ... then they've lost.
