Been there, done that. The scariest part was when I was looking for my toes I found some frozen hot dogs. I thought it was strange that I had them with me. When I bent one, and it cracked, I realized it was a toe.

Fascinating.
Even as a born and bred city boy in Canada, I remember thinking, "This environment can kill us any time. If I stay outside too long, I will die." It amazed me that nobody else seemed to notice, merely grinning and commenting on how cold it was as they stood in line for coffee in the howling wind between the skyscrapers.
Cold is the universe's way of expressing its opinion of us: "Meh."
