I really need to organize my livejournal so that I have a limited set of tags and that everything is tagged and I can find stuff easily. The problem is, when would I find the time to undertake this project? I backfilled paper journal from 1992 to when I started LJ. That's 15 years of _stuff_ Even if I went through a month per day, it would take me like 5 months to go through it, and that's assuming I was diligent.

Do something really really great. Then a publisher will pay a biographer to do that stuff for you.

Wow.. yeah. That does sound like quite a project.

I had attempted to keep a journal in various forms at various times of my life and the most successful 'paper' one was in the form of small hard-bound sketchbooks (about 4"x6"). I kept that journal for about 2 or 3 years. The nice thing about those were that they were so portable. I thought of putting those into LJ but figured it really wasn't worth the effort.

I have considered back-tagging most of my old journal entries. I've come up with a limited set of tags which I've been using for quite some time. My tags cover basic topics, things I tend to write about, and things I feel most passionate about.

I keep thinking I'm going to do this with all my work, blogs, photos, etc... Still have yet to even start. And then the question is, would I maintain it?
