Listen listen!
Jun. 20th, 2008 03:02 pmSo a week or so ago, Jon mentioned he was listening to a podcast by Daniel M. Pinkwater.
If you don't know who that is, please please jump in a time machine and give some of his books to your pre-teen self. You'll thank you for it.
Anyhow... http://feeds.feedburner.com/pinkwaterpodcast is the URL to this podcast and ... It's SO excellent. Even as an an adult, it fills me with all kinds of joy. There's something about him that I really admire. A way of keeping his eyes open to the magic of the world and keeping the slightly cynical edge at the same time. His words are those of someone who's managed to find a perfect balance between optimist and realist. Go listen!
Also, while I'm on the subject of new podcasts, let me please mention again http://www.chasingthebard.com Very enjoyable and well-written story of the fay and an alternate reality fantasy life of William Shakespeare.
AND: The Animation Podcast ( http://www.animationpodcast.com ) It says it's a fan podcast about animation but so far it's just been interviews with Andreas Deja who is really cool. If you animate, it's pretty inspirational.
