Stay up all night listening to Floyd and you start drawing some weird things. :)
I started to draw armor with hearts and then decided that hearts were too stereotypically girly. A spade is a similar shape and I thought that was interesting in addition to the various meanings of 'Ace of Spades' so I went with it.
