Close Encounters of the Cruddy Kind

Time well-wasted. This is one of my first effects animation projects from my class last year. I shot it all in negative to get the weird lighting effect. When I originally did it, I did blacklit multiple layers of cels and the end result was very difficult to see. I used 'screen' layers in After Effects to re-assemble it and I fiddled witht he brightness and contrast. Took a lot more time but it's at least semi visually-readable now.
I love After Effects. Now that I know how to use it, it does virtually everything I wanna do. I'm using it way more than I use Premiere now. o_O
Yay. Talking about animation geekery has improved my mood a bit. I guess that means I can head for bed now. :) Anyhow... Enjoy the film. Tomorrow I'll try to photo/upload UltraDad It's another super-short short I did last year. Layering should go much faster because I've learned how to do it right.
