Blacklight is an important part of spider courtship behavior!

No wonder I was hunting for that at FC05.

I wonder if this is true for some nocturnal spiders as well. While watching the northern lights during a rather severe magnetic storm I noticed our white t-shirts were producing a faint but noticable 'black-light glow'.

Maybe relate nocturnal spider mating habits to the aurora borealis.
