No one will be stealing parts off my bike again unless they first break into the house and then go up the stairs and notice my bicycle is hanging from the ceiling. Arr. After a long day of work yesterday, Stacey and I got the tackle in place and hoisted our bikes up out of the way in our house. Looks rather cool and solves our parking problems. :)

Structurally, the mounts should be able to hold ~140 lbs on each mount (2 mounts per bike) and the bikes weigh at most 25lbs each. The cable also has a safety stop, so if you let go of the rope, the bike doesn't fall.

All in all, quite a fun exercise in physics. :)

Letsee... Lights; including the leds on the wheels. Then reflectors and some light mounts. Then a seat and post.

Bummer. Miscreants ran off with my bike "computer" once. Ten years ago. Left the mount. Then fawns bit through the wire to the sensor. Mount's still there. Before that, the bike got stolen once. Cops found it in a bar's bacement about 4 years later. Peugeot makes a good bike.
