I agree with him about how the game is designed, but I think he's making people sound more hopeless and sheepish than they really are, but still an interesting article.

Why can't people take the week-long lockouts as a sign they should run once a week instead of twelve hours a day?

I call this the "Requiem for a Dream" effect. Sure, that post makes one feel sorry for them, but noone's holding a gun to their head to and making them play. The point about false honor is interesting, though.
