Electric Ride-ums

You remember the good old days when kids rode bigwheels and tricycles? Back when those battery-operated rideables were expensive and had a battery life of fifteen minutes?

Wasn't life a lot nicer back then? Children were more physically fit, and the air wasn't filled with the sound of dental drills.

If manufacturers are going to make those pieces of crap, couldn't they at least not make them sound like dental drills?

I don't blame the kids. I blame the companies and the lousy parents who buy them. Get em a bike instead. It's cheaper, will last longer, and they might not, ya'know, die from diabetes complications or get glacoma by the time they're twenty.

Then there's the bicycles that look like choppers. With the drag those fat wheels must have, I bet kids have to pedal the hell out of those things...

All the people in my neighborhood are too poor to have those things. Though they do have lots of radio-controlled cars.
