pasitheaWell, really these are nightlies and will run a day behind my actual progress but anyhow, since I'm not working right now, I'm cranking up full-swing on my animation, art, and music studies. To keep myself moving, I'll post stuff here and on my website. Anyone that's interested or wouldn't mind critiquing, I'd appreciate it.
So, here's what I did last night. This is the opening shot to the 'Stupid Baby' animation. This clip is silent, 320x240 15 FPS, just over 9 seconds long and 225K.
If it won't open, you probably have an outdated Quicktime plugin. New ones can be found at apple for free download

My impression of the animation: My first response when I looked at it during pencil test was, "EEEEEWW!!!! He's disgusting!" which is good. I like the mucus and the blink. The rest of the eye action is a little rough but that's a four-layer pencil test and it took about an hour and a half to shoot so I'll fix the eyes when I do my ink and paint in ToonBoom. Also worth noting: Only up to where the snot bubble bursts goes in the finished film. I just looped the animation so I could view it without pops. During this shot, there will be a slow camera truck-in happening. What you see in this shot is probably the 'close' point on the camera.
