SUCCESS!!!!

Woot! I finally got the new video card and plugged it in. Works perfectly and suddenly I've gone from 4 to 6 FPS on SecondLife to 14-17 FPS in heavy traffic areas with lots of prims. In quieter areas I'm getting over 30. So awsome!

This was a good solution. Cheaper than buying a new G5 and it got me what I really wanted in terms of game playing and photoshop acceleration.


Now SL is totally playable and I can really start doing some serious animation there. :) ... As soon as I get some free time from work.

I have now also totally maxxed out this computer short of finding a way to put faster HDs in it. :)

If you find new bus cards we can put more drives in your computers.

I /think/ the main bus is also on a daughter card, but... I don't know. Prolly it'd be best to save up for your next computer instead, though.
