Sooooo.....
A while back, Corinne leant me a copy of New York Animators "Avoid Eye Contact" which I really liked and decided I'd buy when I had some money. Earlier this week, I get an e-mail from SquareFootageFilms that they are running a special. Avoid Eye Contact volumes 1 and 2 for $35.. And I happen to have a little bit of money right now. Awsome!
Just out of curiousity, I see what else they have and I spy something called 'NinaVision'. NO... WAY.... _ANIMATION_ by Nina Paley! Back in the day in Santa Cruz she was one of my absolute favourite comic strippers and now she does animation too? How utterly cool is that?
So I surf around her website (http://www.ninapaley.com/). Jon and Es would love the 'Sita Sings the Blues' series of animation and fire off a rather fannish e-mail and I end up buying 3 DVDs instead of two. Ohwell. :)
Now I'm going to read a backlog of Nina's Adventures and bask in the warm memories. :)
