Day by day I feel more and more venom and contempt for the Bush administration. Do you think the article below will hit the mainstream news? Maybe in 5 years or 10 when it's too late and doesn't matter anymore. The same goddamned fucking thing happened in Iran. The Bush administration is slapping itself on the back for having conned people into believing we 'liberated' Iraq and made it a better place. A better place for fucking religious asshole men, maybe. A better place for us to control and steal oil from, definetely! IT'S SO MUCH BETTER NOW!

Date: 2005-07-23 01:20 am (UTC)There was supposed to be an ammendment which requires the head of the FBI to authorise searching through library and bookstore records .. one news service said it passed, another says it failed. What eventaully happened here?
Here's a line that bugs me -- "Why sunset legislation where there's been no actual record of abuse and vigorous oversight?" Sensenbrenner said.
One of the reasons there (possibly) hasn't been significant abuse or oversight is probably because if there was that'd threaten the possibility of renewal -- Now that it's renewed indefinitly what's to stop em.
Arg.. this whole thing has prompted me to make a new LJ icon.
