Geez. This is so pathetic. You think someone is a SMIDGE insecure about their sexuality? I'm starting to wonder if hardcore religious types are so hateful towards gays because while they're staring at their little crucifix, sometimes they start looking at Jesus' lean body and emaciated abs and find themselves getting hard and then they freak out. It has to be something like that.

Do you suppose that christianconservatives are like kneeling there, praying at the cross and their eyes start to wander across Jesus' lean lithe body and emaciated abs and they start to think about his warm healing hands roaming over their body, the tickle of his beard as he kisses their ear, and then they realize that they're all hard and turned on and completely freak the fuck out?
I'm really starting to think this must be the case.

Note my recent entry on this subject: when a bunch of Brits tried to do something similar with the American election, only with a sense of humor, the same demographic of American conservatives pissed and moaned about "foreign interference" and how incredibly rude it was to presume to have voice in another nation's affairs. The worst part is I know there would be no satisfaction in calling any of them on this face-to-face; in their world, there is no such thing as being wrong if you're wearing the right badge...

It is really a silly thing, Americans barking at everyone in the world "Be Democratic, like us" "Be Christian, like us" "We are the moral majority". Then when the Brits, the French, the Germans, and the Middle East say get out of our business, "Well I never!", "Obviously we are better and you just don't want to be saved heathen". When they make comments on our process its foreign influence...please.

These same people say they don't hate people, yet they ignore gay bashing, disrupt gay rallys, deny protections afforded others, and ostricize and proletyze others who do want to help. But they don't actually hit them themselves nor do they discrimate themselves, holding themselves holier-than-thou.

It reminds me a little about the Air Force Thunderbirds. To be a Thunderbird you had to have so many hours in an airframe under combat conditions. Women weren't allowed to fly combat so they couldn't get the hours. The Air Force said that it denied women pilots the Thunderbird seats not because they were women but because they lacked the hours. Imagine that. Course, thats changed now, and women have been T-Bird pilots so there is hope for change even in the military.
