[livejournal.com profile] woodlander found a copy of Frank which was also on the Siggraph disc and neatly surreal. This one loses a lot on the little bitty web version though. It's much niftier on a big screen. A lot of the surrealist details are lost. A lot lighter than Ryan though.

Yeah.. that's a real challenge for 3-d animators -- being able to make '3-d models' of an inherently 2-d art style. I saw another Siggraph presentation on creating Dr Seuss style 'Lorax' trees... the kind where the leaves are curled clockwise no matter what angle you look at them.
