So... The odd little things I think about in the wee hours of the morning... How would a telepathic character see Sasamui. Is the puppet herself a blank or a collective of thoughts of the zukai, is she the reality she believes herself to be, or something of a multiple personality disorder.
How intense is the focus of the performers? Are they so involved in their play that their thoughts are only those of muscles? Move the arm, blink the eyes, step in sync, or are they filled with other thoughts? ... Or entirely devoid of thought/outside the relm of communication.
So many options. I hope I figure it out before I encounter a situation where it will be necissary to have the answer. Any thoughts?

Sort of like three thoughts going at once in each of their heads, 1) the puppet's motions, 2) the puppet's thoughts (slightly altered based on their personalitie), and 3) random thoughts everyone has. For example ... "right leg bends for the bow/hello my Lord/pay the rent" .... and always have the same order of thoughts. Of course the last part breaks the fantasy a bit, as it is almost a reality anchor. But this would open up a whole new realm of roleplaying, as the actions of the puppet (in this case bowing to a Lord) inspires thoughts related to the individual puppeteers life (Lord = must pay rent to owner of my home).
Of course, you could always just go with the echo-thoughts of the puppet, as my second suggestion lays a ton more work on you ... but you were never one for the easy way out ;)
BTW, I love your idea for the puppet and controllers, don't know if I mentioned it before hehe.
