More fun than a Root Canal

pasitheaNext time someone says something is about as much fun as a root canal, don't let them fool you.
I just spent the last year of my life working on a DMCA project and by comparison, the Root Canal was way more fun!
From the x-rays, the nerve in my tooth was dead. My dentist assured me this was true and so, with some skepticism, I let her drill a hole in my tooth WITHOUT anesthetic. Not even local.
She was right. It in fact did not hurt. I feel totally hardcore! Or at least I would but I sort of chickened out after the initial hole was done and she numbed up the root to finish the procedure.
I have to go back on Monday to get a permanent plug to the hole. In the meanwhile... Mmmm. Antibiotics.
BTW, I should note for the sake of total honesty that the tooth in question was a front tooth and due to damage, not a molar (which is more complex and painful, I'm told)
Still. ... I HAD A HOLE DRILLED IN MY TOOTH WITHOUT ANESTHETIC. O_O
