[livejournal.com profile] postvixen, [livejournal.com profile] magnavixen, and [livejournal.com profile] prickvixen

I see their names as response posts in almost all of the journals of people I have on my friends lists but I have NO idea who they are. All three seem pretty cool (which is surprising given they're all vixens) so I have to wonder who they are before my noggin starts coming up with ideas like they are really the internet equivalent of the three furies of greek mythos or something.

Postvixen is this really imaginative role-player and writer. Also, imo, a truly decent human being. He/she/sie has brilliant and passionate insight into society, culture and current events, and some thoughts about sex which are either weird or not my thing or bloody amazing, depending on your perspective. I think PV's writing style is concise and expansive and utterly freakin' great.

Clothos, Lacheis, and Atropos, respectively.

Or maybe I'm a smart-ass.

[livejournal.com profile] prickvixen was once known as Ashtoreth. She was one of the founding wizards of Furrymuck, and a truly amazing person.

[livejournal.com profile] postvixen is... well, just read her journal. I think you'll like her.

I dunno anything about Magnavixen.

Ashtoreth. There's a name I haven't heard in a long long long time. Nifty.

I was commenting on this because I am sort of a snoop and do click on friends of friends and all three seemed rather interesting and worth talking to. :)

Are you sure it's not Moe, Larry, and Curly?

You haven't seen [livejournal.com profile] prickvixen's hair lately, have you. If you had you'd know there's no way she should be called "Curly".

If Magnavixen's up for it, Whore of Babylon, False Prophet, and Beast. Ashy and I have already knocked around the idea of riding her through a river of saints' blood in a couple years...

I'm not going to suggest who would be who in maiden/mother/crone. Why do so many feminine power symbols come in threes?

Two breasts and a vagina.

No, seriously, I think maybe that is it.

Three is one of the basic cultural "power numbers". All kinds of folk tales and myths and mental groupings occur in threes: three fates, three time periods, three famous deaths at a time. One interesting cultural difference is that American Indian stories tend to think in fours instead: four transformations, four warriors, four days of ritual, and so on.

I've already signed up to be the Scarlet Woman. Besides, everybody already rides on my back.

Maybe we all combine into a gestalt creature called The Beast... you know, like Voltron.
