I am so tired of this. Someone makes something like the Grinch Who Stole Christmas, or whatever, and it's animated and charming and timeless, and then of course because this is America it has to be remade as this gigantic expensive thing with CGI all over the damn place. Does every positive thing originally made with human love and human brainpower pushing pencils, need to be re-made in a medium which I still think of as largely soulless?
I for one can't wait for the Beetles to be Disneyfied. I'm going to love the scene where John Lennon, square jawed and heroic volunteers to fight the good fight against the evil queen, Ho Chi Minhderella who rules North Vietnam!
