I mean aside from Heinlein's general crappy writing and dunderheaded failure at writing female characters, the story appears to be based on a RAY STEVENS SONG.
I think this is definitive proof that there is no God. No loving and merciful God would allow this to exist.
This story just gets worse and worse and more and more predictable.

Date: 2009-08-14 12:37 am (UTC)Heinlein can NOT write women, period. The "accidental HBS" character he creates in "I will fear no evil." is like a handbook for misogyny. Utter failtastic.
I won't fear any evil, but I fear the dark place a story like that came from.
