My hair's going to be at an annoying length just before Burning Man.

Should I chance getting it cut and hope it looks alright or should I just go crazy and give myself a mohawk, potentially sunburning the sides of my head while at Burn? Hmm. Decisions decisions.

Well you've got to do something otherwise when you get to burning man everyone is going to point and laugh at that ladies awkward length hair the mood will be ruined as people break out into arguments over whether it's too short or too long!

Get it cornrowed and bring sunscreen. I wore pigtails when I was there and that worked. I didn't wash my hair for a week. That was kind of gross. A great way to maybe handle that might be some vinegar and water mix. 1 part vinegar to 4 parts water I think is the mix? Maybe you should google it. It's a great way to keep the scalp clean. Then reapply sunscreen.
A mohawk would take you aeons to grow out and be at an awkward length for evah.

My hair grows real fast (about two inches a month) and it's already really short anyhow. By Burn it'll be maybe 5 or 6 inches long. I'd look like some kind of mutant doll if I got cornrows.

Or you could do what we do with the kidling... He likes to have a "mohawk" in the summer, but rather than shaving the sides right down, they're just clipped to about ¼" and the centre row left long. Looks OK, and keeps his head from burning. :)

hmm, burning man. We're camping in the suburbs, somewhere around 8:00-8:30 or so. Not doing a camp, but trying to get as many furs to camp around as possible, create a furry village of sorts. Interested?
