Interesting...

So... Calling FedEx last night was apparently the right thing to do. They had promised my laptop by 10:30 this morning and they delivered... Though apparently they have a MATTER TRANSMITTER... Look at the shipping log. Notice anything odd?

Or you can see the actual transaction log here.

... How did it get from Indiana to Oakland? ...

Ohwell. It's here! Yay! Now I have to work and go to a Christmas party and stuff. :)

May I please ask for a cut tag?
It is breaking my friend page horizontal scroll.

If you do, I promise no more hairs in the soap.

Okay, it's 11:00 - did it arrive?

[identity profile] dv-girl.livejournal.com 2003-12-12 01:12 pm (UTC)(link)
Yeah. At about 9:30. :)

Wow thats so cool! So fast! I need one of those (whatever THAT is that made it get there so fast), with a little work I bet I'd be able to be two places at the same time -- very helpful, indeed.

4 hours from Indianapolis to Oakland isn't unheard of by jet....take time zomes into account. Indianapolis is *just* within the Eastern time zone, so the 5:08 time stamp translates to 2:08 Pacific time. Those time stamps are all local time for their respective areas, which is why it seems to say that it left Taiwan *after* it left Alaska ;)

That's four hours plus twenty-four more.

So it's not exactly instant transmission.

while it would be nice to believe in matter transmitters, I think FedEx did a nice thing for you that screwed up the computerized automatic tracking: Hand-carried the package from inspection site to their local distribution center.
