Boletus boletus looking for boletus!

Heehee. Heard this song on the radio the other day (yay college radio)

Apparently part of a new WII game. Amazon is offering a free download of the song too. Neat. :)

It's a neat sound. Haven't heard Les Claypool before. He reminds me vaguely of Mojo Nixon. Definitely going to have to check out more of his work.

He's the guy behind Primus, I believe. Has a definite fan following.

Shows just how ignorant I am about music.

I wonder if there are any schools that offer 'Remedial Rock' for people who were raised by baptists.

Hmmm... maybe Les Claypool is like Mojo Nixon crossed with Geddy Lee and obsessed with fishing...

No on second thought, Les Claypool isn't like Mojo at all. I love music by both of them but there's not that much in common! Pick up 'Suck On This' for a long overdue remedial lesson in Primus.

Thank you for the prescription, doctor. Sorry. I really have such a limited set of data that 'similar' is not-very-similar-at-all.

The young DV was expressly and punitively forbidden from the world of rock.

I like to think of Primus as something of a cross between the Residents and Oingo Boingo.
