Democracy

Man. That Bush did a great job establishing democracy in Afghanistan, didn't he?

America has helped that country SO much. Why I can't understand why anyone would find fault in all the gifts we've given them.

"Democracy is the theory that the common people know what they want, and deserve to get it good and hard." -- H. L. Mencken

The saddest part of all of this is that the law in question was voted in by the Afghani parliament.

Apparently not even in Afghanistan is the patriarchy confident in its moves: The bill had been given several different writings, and apparently many of their legislators voted under the impression it was a different version than it was published afterwards.

I think those women are despicably for trying to subvert traditional family values that George Bush brought them. Really, they've seen the havoc that feminism has caused in America, why would they want it in their own nation?

Cuzh they're Uppity.

A Taliman is all I need. I don't need no education. I need forced control.

Just keep all those uppity women under control and Afghanistan will one day be enjoying all of the blessings of a right wing nation, like... uh... well... oppressed women! And no art, and massive poverty, and violent religious radicals! Just what Uncle Sam ordered.

Didn't he though? I'm so glad we went to war for women's rights there.
