I fail to understand what they were doing. Did they have employees pose as reporters in order to not hurt the speakers feelings when no one showed up? Did they want it to look like there was a crowd in case some lone camera did show up? Were they intending to make any legitimate news men who might have shown up feel bad because all the other "reporters" there were asking softball questions?
And it seems that if I could just save my speculative outbursts until I had actually finished the second half of the article I would have known. I didn't wan the most malevolent of all possibilities to be true, but there it is. Darn.
