It's basically us kissing ass to Turkey, and if you look down at the bottom of the article we are kissing ass to the Turks so that we can vaguely try to get somewhere with Kurdish nationalists.

Crapping on Kurds is a longstanding middle-eastern tradition, and if it becomes painfully obvious that we don't care about Kurds then our ideological reasons for going after Hussein's government becomes even more ridiculous. So we need to kiss up to these Turk assholes whose policy towards Kurdistan is pretty much like Hussein's, just so that we can vaguely salvage our rep. Keep things quiet.

And Bush isn't the problem. He's a particularly offensive symptom of the disease, but he's just a symptom. Killing him wouldn't solve anything. But, if he and his family had to spend the rest of their lives as working-class Americans with limited or no health care and no chance of retiring, now, that would be justice.

I still think that Kerry/Edwards could have won if they toured apologizing for all the crap Bush's done, and making their platform a case of righting wrongs. Supporting troops with real measures, especially for veterans, etc. Alas...

Yeah, I don't want to see Bush dead. Because about five seconds after he steps on that last helicopter off the White House lawn, he's gonna pull out a hip flask the size of a Dalek and start chugging, and I totally want to see that crash. Baby Reagan is one thing, but the tabloids absolutely will not restrain themselves when it comes to coverage of Drunk Frat Boy Bush.

And aaaactually, you know something? You know who owns the hell out of Hollywood? Armenians. All conspiracy theories aside, they own most of the major real estate around there, and you know they've got pull. If this bill fails to pass, look for some really unkind political exposes and a heavy anti-Republican slant in movies for years to come. *rubs hands together in anticipation*
