Guitar Chord Question
Oct. 8th, 2007 10:19 amSo... I'm working through my 4th book of guitar exercises, this one is on the subject of heavy metal. Woot!
So anyhow... I came across a chord that I don't have any instruction for how to play. It looks like an open G-major except the A string isn't played. Looks like this:
So.. I tried just skipping the string for a while but I couldn't do it fast enough to make it sound decent so I've switched to playing it like an open G-major and just muting the A-string with my index finger and trying not to hit the A very hard if possible. This sounds right even with quite a bit of amplification but is it the proper way to play it or I just need to learn to hit the entire chord at speed and skip that string?
