Given my recent plans to mark up the moon, I really enjoyed this video: http://208.65.153.251/watch?v=pnbuhjliCKA Many of the related videos are good too. Guess what. The last star in that video is not nearly the biggest star we know of. Think about that, then consider the size of a star against the size of a galaxy. Even something that massive is just a speck. A tiny insignificant speck, and even that galaxy is just a bit of dust in terms of the universe. We can't even being to get our brains around it.

This is why I don't believe in a petty and controlling personal God. Imagine the size of the ego you'd need to believe that all of this cares about whether or not you masturbate.

That video reminded me of the opening scene in the movie Contact, with the view pulling back from the world past the galaxies.

Come to think of it, whasshername in the movie had the rug pulled out from under her to go in the capsule because she was outed being an atheist the first time around.
