Well. Since it looks like 'legally elected' is right out for me, I should probably begin considering some kind of nonviolent unmilitarized take-over followed by a benevolent dictatorship.

This just makes me sad. Um okay asshats of america. How about we vote based on qualifications. Just an idea. Call me crazy.

That's just great then. We've had how many years of proving that when religious freaks and homophobes run the country, it goes to shit, and yet people are that dead set against someone being (gasp) an atheist or (faint!) a homosexual?

I know for a fact that an atheist wouldn't come up with an environmental policy of "Jesus will show up in 20 years or so." Shit, I'd feel a fuckload happier with an atheist running the show. I wouldn't share their beliefs, but at least I wouldn't be a second class citizen of this country.
