I still haven't taken pictures of my cute little uro, but he's settling in okay and he's still adorable. ^_^ Decided to name him Sulfi because he has pretty sulphur-yellow spots.
He continues to surprise me with things I hadn't expected. He's much more flexible and agile than I'd expected; mostly because he uses his tail as a fifth leg.
When I bring him dandelions, he will actually stand up on his hind legs to get at them (It's really really really adorable to see a little lizard stand up on his hind legs and munch on a flower BTW); something I never would have expected since he's a low to the ground scuttling design. BUT wait! He can stand even higher. He can actually stand on his tail against a wall or something and reach almost twice as far as I'd expected.
Also, I'd read that he wouldn't need a tree because they aren't climbers. HA! Perhaps he's not the best tree climber, but he chimneys like nobody's business! Find him a narrow vertical place and he can run straight up a wall. He uses the horns on his tail like crampons, pushing it back against one side of the crevice and his claws on the other.
The only sorta sad thing it's still winter, so he's just barely awake when I get up for work and goes to sleep about an hour after I get home so I don't get to see him much. Maybe that's for the best though as he's getting a lot to time to himself to get settled in and feel secure.
At any rate, he's really cute and sweet. ^_^
