I think maybe I've been spending too much time at work.

This is me, sitting on the train ont he way to work wearing a mylar cube for a head. It's not perfect, so I'm calling it Preview Hat. It has chrome and flexy but it still needs some tweaking to really be what I want.

Yes, I can see out just fine. It's like mirrored sunglasses. It's also rather like a graduation cap of the future of the 1950's. Inside is a slate and cup which holds it centered around my head and keeps the top of the cube rigid.

Why am I wearing a chrome cube for a head? You've never been to SecondLife, have you? One of the first idiotic things you do is put some object on your head. Generally a plywood cube. In fact, this is a prototype, which will revised into a plywood cube head with a little airbrush and screen work over the mylar. (needs to be stiffer too, of course)

The train is pretty amusing. As I mentioned a few months ago, when we had to detrain for the bomb threat, Train commuters are pretty impervious to weirdness. I've only gotten one or two weird looks and the conductor said he loved it. <3 :)

So. Yes, this is my life. Girl with a cube for a head riding the train to work. I remembered my computer had a camera built into it and snapped a photo of myself.

I'm looking forward to doing some new and weirder builds sometime soon. :)

Heh. Speaking of builds and SecondLife, I also finally got around to buying some land in world. Now to build my sci-fi coffee shop. Maybe this weekend. Iv'e got several projects I'm trying to get done right now, and I have a feeling Stacey is going to try to get me to go out somewhere tonight.
