Gee. Ya'know. Maybe just maybe dumbfuck, he doesn't want to talk to you because he son is in Iraq being shot at and will probably come home in a box and it's YOUR fault. I wouldn't want to talk to you either.

And how DARE he talk about classism! That total bastard!

And then the 'unbiased media' goes on an attack frenzy.

But there's one thing I agree with them on. I can't WAIT to see what he does once he's sworn-in. It's well past time for some outspoken radicals to get in there and destroy a few of these spineless worms.

Yeah, I saw that last night. I particularly liked how Will conveniently omitted a portion of Bush's condescending reply to make it appear like Webb was being unreasonable. Ah, conservatives - they only hear what they want to hear.

Copy of the email I just sent to Mr. Will and the Editorial staff at the Post...

Dear Mr. Will.

You seem finicky over language, so I hope you don't mind my making some corrections. Your initial black mark against Senator Webb, that they incorrectly used they as a singular personal pronoun, is incorrect.

"They" is, and has been used, as a singular pronoun for many many many years. And my OED Ninth edition makes specific mention that this use is common and acceptable.

Can I ask you to please stop using colons when you should instead be using a semi-colon or a comma.

"Whatever cohort" should be "Whichever cohort". As you doubtless know, "Whatever" is determinative pronoun, as in "Give me whatever money you have" or "Whatever you do, do not abuse English".

I'm also puzzled over your editing of the Webb-Bush conversation. You seem to have a gap where you leave out Bush's response to Webb. Maybe you think the churlish retort of "I didn't ask you that, I asked how he's doing", reflects poorly on the president. More poorly than accidental English language slips.

I love it. These conservative bastards spew all sorts of venom at us, and blather out loud shit about how us non-right-wing-lunatic American citizens are traitors, idiots, nazis, immoral, and how we don't comply to the standards created by purportedly Christian founding fathers and so on, and the moment one of us says anything less than glowingly positive, it's the end of the world.

Shitwads. I can only hope that Gandhi was right about how untruth, being also unreal, can never truly persist.

Bitch piss whine moan, George. If I'd been that senator, I'd have slapped Bush in the face.

In a republic, people decline to be led by leaders who are insufferably full of themselves.

Is he talking about Jim Webb or the president?

And of course the typical 'drifting toward' = 'is' interpretation, and since we don't live in Elizabethan England, there's absolutely no class inequality whatsoever.

But the overarching point to be taken from this editorial is that the Republicans have nothing substantive to say, therefore you get this whiny diaper-shitting.
