No Rest for the Wicked

If there is one thing I really hate, it's sleep. By training alone, I sleep only about 6 hours a night. That extra two hours a day I can work is invaluable to me. That's part of how I could tell I was really sick this week. I actually wanted to sleep. Feh. Anyhow. Link swiped from Perlandria.

A drug that could let me sleep less and get even more done. I WANT it.

Although, I have to admit I approach this sort of thing with caution. That old adage about things that sound too good to be true often are. OTOH, I like the comparison to birth control and indeed antibiotics and such. Biology is not destiny.

Modafinil! I used to be on that. I'm taking a break from the Modafinil and Adderal to see if they were what was making me feel sick all the time. (So, I'm back on high doses of caffeine now, and very ADD again.)

Yves should have one of those Weight Watchers asterisks next to his name labeled "results not typical." I have an honest-to-goodness line graph of my sleep covering the period I was on the full dose. I slept exactly as before. (I was taking it more for ADD than wanting to become functionally sleepless, but I definitely experimented.) I'm now on half as much - 200mg - because it's an adequate appetite suppressant.
