Rendering comments
Oct. 24th, 2006 12:51 pmI decided to upload my maya scene to Deviant Art and then, just for kicks, I browsed around the gallery I put it in:
http://browse.deviantart.com/?catpath=digitalart/3d/scenes/interiors
I quickly realized two things.
1) Most people can't light/texture things worth beans, probably because they're spending all of their time on modeling and not thinking about the lighting and they're trying to use 'real' lights in the scene. That's not the way our mind sees things so 'real' lights make things look fake.
2) Most of this stuff could be rendered successfully in SL.
