The Golden Calf

So... Say what you will about the Golden Calf, but let's consider for a moment here. Aaron makes it, God gets angry and kills some other people, but Aaron's family become the holy men and get gold and finery laid at their feet and as much meat as they can gob down.

I dunno. It really seems like the golden calf rewarded him with lots of delicious beef for the rest of his life and Moses' God just kind of went along with it but said Aaron had to wave organs in the air and go, "WOOOOOOOO! LOOK AT THESE ORGANS!!!"

And then Ed Gein came along 4000 years later and did the same thing, and they arrested him.

More organs equals more human!

Hey, I like organs, and in theory I'm a very remote descendent of Aaron.

They were made into servants, tho, not lords. They were locked into it for generations...if one of his decendents didn't want to be a priest, too bad for him. It was an honor, but also the greatest responsibility in Hebrew culture.
