My morning is off to an great start. I'm about a half hour behind schedule getting to work, head out, and find that my speedometer, headlamp mount, and even the broken reflector on the front of my bike have all been stolen. Including the lights on my rims. How nice. If I thought the cops would do anything, I'd buy new gear and a wireless webcam this weekend, but I know better. My house in Tulsa as robbed and even though the guy sold stuff to my neighbor and his girlfriend was willing to testify against him, the cops said there was nothing they could do. And that was about $1000 worth of stuff, not $25.
Hey, speaking of worthless cops! At the train station this morning, some fucknugget had run over the orange cones in front of the HANDICAP RAMP and parked their car there. There's this fat waddly bastard rent-a-cop that's always standing around the station to shout at bicyclists, skateboarders, and the like. Since I was already mad, I shouted at him, "Hey! Why don't you be useful for once and ticket that car parked in the handicapped ramp."
He, of course, got indignant and shouted at me to mind my own business. So I repeated, "There is a car. Parked illegally in the handicapped ramp."
He said, "And what do you want me to do about it? Do you I look like a cop to you?"
Me: "Well, you could at least CALL a REAL cop. What do they pay you for anyhow?" and then I walked away shaking my head.
Worthless fat fuck. This is the same guy that was standing there, maybe 10 feet away when that guy threw himself in front of the train. And you know what else? Seriously, he didn't NEED to be a real cop. The parking lot is Caltrain property too. Dur. Not to mention, it wasn't like someone was stopped for a minute. This car was parked, and no one was anywhere near it nor went near it for the ten minutes I was waiting for the train.
So. What have we learned today class?
A) Some people are selfish and lazy and would rape their own grandmother.
B) Cops are fucking worthless when it comes to handling crimes.
C) Cops exist mostly to try to make honest people into criminals.
D) Rent-a-cops are infinitely more petty and useless than real cops.
E) Cops generally pathetic macho assholes with low self-esteem.
F) Even if you point to a crime in progress, 9 out of 10 cops prefer donuts to action.
G) We're forced to pay thousands of tax dollars each to support useless fucks.
H) All of the above.

Oh, and as a final note for any right-wing fuck that might be reading this, why yes, I do live in a mostly hispanic apartment and yes, odds are high that it was probably a mexican kid who stole my stuff, and no, this doesn't make me rush to support Bush's ethnic clensing. In fact, if anything, it makes me hate you even more, you miserable pasty bastard because you know? There's a good chance that assholes like you are making them feel angry and powerless and thus lash out at any white person. (Since I observe the $200 baby buggy sitting in the space next to mine was not lifted even though it was worth 5 times as much and easily resellable. So thanks, you fucking asshole. We reap what you sew all across the world. BTW, how's your little Police Action going in Iraq? Ooooooh. I see. We're the world police! Well then, I guess given the quiz above, that explains a lot, doesn't it!
Edit: On the bike ride from the train to work, a little girl smiled happily and pointed at my hair and demanded her mother look, and when I was cycling past the warf, a barge was unloading two 20-foot tall women made of scrap metal. One was fully erect and the other's arms and head were being assembled. My world is better now.
