Ironically enough, although I couldn't find a screencap of Alice, but the Alan Kay demo of OpenCroquet had Alice and the white rabbit as the avatars. (Image here.) Mind you, they weren't moving arms or whatnot, more like chess pieces taken from woodcuts. But still, fitting.
