Voivod was doing gas masks at their concerts in 1984. :D Having said that, I don't approve of letting some other dorks dictate your style, because the goggles are one part of you, don't worry about other people wearing them. You have a bazillion other things that make up you (like the fact that you're an unbelievably resourceful costume designer) so don't worry so much. Goggles look good on you. ^^
