Pre-paid karma

So... The wobble in my rear wheel was because I'd snapped a spoke (I suspect when I hopped a curb at ~25MPH and landed badly, using my wheel as a shock absorber) Anyhow, it's going to cost about $20 (including labor, the part is like a dollar). *shrug* I still have no remorse about kicking that guy's bike tho. Spitting on someone is assault (Not to mention just f***ing vile) However, I am now left feeling stunned by how apparently fragile spokes are. I've never broke one before (not counting times where I completely totalled the bike) and now here I've broke three in one weekend.

*smirks* I am amused, I must admit.

The guy probably would have had a facefull, if I'd had pepperspray on me. I don't know.

I've fixed up my bike for the most part. its kinda fun. I didn't want to pay bike performance the $10 per tire to change my tires, so I did it myself. Much easier. Much cheaper. its painfully easy to swap tires and spokes.

But retuning a performance wheel is just annoying; replacing a tire is muscle. I'd rather let them do the former, I'll do the latter.

Oh, retruing and respoking a wheel is fun and entertaining!

...I've had to retrue like, 3 wheels so far in my life. Had to respoke a couple of times too. x.x
Thankfully, have a nice book that tells me a lot about how to do it. Kinda old though. Sierra club bike book, got it at a thrift store for like, $5. ^_^

My dear, I would have broken far more than his spoke :)

*sigh*

Again, I miss the good stuff :/
